On this page the NPT will post strategy documents describing the frequency situation for relevant radio services. Several documents are under preparation and will be placed as and when they are complete. The strategy documents are meant to supplement the information contained in the Frequency Plan.
The frequency spectrum is a common resource that can be used in several ways. Technological developments have led to increased demand for frequency resources and an expansion of the available segment of the frequency spectrum. The frequencies can be utilised more or less effectively, but as opposed to many other natural resources, the frequency spectrum is not exhausted over time. The method or degree of utilisation at a given time has no influence on the availability of frequencies at another point in time.
